Preschool
At no other time does your child grow, change, and learn more rapidly than during the early childhood years. Our preschool program is structured with focus on the total well-being of each child. The classes encompass balance, coordination, strength, fine and gross motor skills through creative body movements with music in a safe, fun and structured environment. This approach allows us to help in the development of a strong learning foundation, which can enhance every child’s future. This is a foundation built not only for gymnastics skills, but for life skills as well.
Parent and Child (ages 18mo - 3 years)
Tristar Gymnastics’ Parent and Child classes are the perfect opportunity to introduce your young one to an open environment while still spending time and bonding with you! This class works on developing necessary abilities, such as group work, listening skills, sharing, learning to take turns, as well as developing basic gross motor skills. Preschool I
(ages 3-4 years)
Preschool 1 is Tristar’s first independent class where participants begin to explore the great world of gymnastics with Mom & Dad watching from our lobby! Our small ratio of 6 athletes to 1 instructor guarantees that each class will be structured, safe, educational, and most importantly – FUN! Preschool 1 participants work on gross motor development and basic gymnastics skills, as well as learning to work happily in a group environment! Start your child’s road to success today! Preschool II (ages 4-5 years)
The Preschool 2 class at Tristar is a continuation of our excellent Preschool 1 class! Now that your young one has grown a bit older, it’s time to step up the learning! Still using our 6-to-1 ratio, we build on the foundation your child has learned by challenging their gross motor skills, developing their fine motor skills, and introducing even more gymnastics skills! At Tristar, we recognize the importance of creating great PEOPLE, not just athletes, so we spend equal amount of time teaching the basic life lessons of listening, following directions, taking turns, sharing, and working with a team! What should my child wear?
Most girls wear a leotard. A t-shirt and active wear pants or shorts are OK for boys and girls. We prefer bare feet in order to make climbing easier. For general safety purposes please be sure that long hair is pulled back, and no jewelry. Food, drinks and gum are not allowed in the gymnastics area.
